Focus on women in the industry

In a profession where most positions are traditionally held by men, changes are taking place.

The majority of people working in the electrical engineering industries are still men, but changes are happening. These changes were obvious at this year's large German telecom fair AngaCOM.

The focus for Hans Følsgaard has always been to attract the best candidate for the job, and that has not changed.
But the tendency for our businessareas to attract almost exclusively male candidates is fortunately no longer the case. And that is positive for all parties.

Ladies Mingle

At this year's AngaCOM, where Følsgaard presented fiber solutions from the top of the range, a record number of women were represented. This became obvious at the fair with a "Ladies Mingle" event, where female stakeholders and exhibitors could meet for a drink and a bit of networking.

In Følsgaard, we want a world where it is not necessary to talk about gender at all. Where Ladies Mingle need not take place. And it will probably be like that one day. But until then, we believe that more women in our industry can enrich and strengthen development in a positive direction.

Følsgaard was represented at the fair with several women, including our German Country Manager, Heike Kaiser Jäger and Key Account Manager, Sandra Kaplan. They both attended the Ladies Mingle at the fair and welcome the increased focus on women in the industry.
